Ever wished you owned your own kilt
in your family's traditional tartan?
A kilt made for you for that special occasion will last a lifetime and can be worn many many times over the years - it's not just a once only outfit


  • All kilts are hand made here in Perth by very accomplished kiltmakers.
    We believe that each and every kilt is as special as its owner, and invite you to be involved with the making process by coming into the workshop to see the progress as it makes its complicated journey from material to kilt.

  • Kilts are made from the finest quality 100% pure wool milled in Scotland, and we at The House of Tartan in Perth have access to materials woven by The Welsh Tartan Centre, Marton Mills and Dalgleish Mills as well as the industry leaders in Scotland of Lochcarron, House of Edgar and Strathmore.

  • All kilts are hand-sewn to perfection to fit you personally with a minimum of 8-10 stitches per inch.

  • Prices start at $700 (plus GST) and are dependent on your size (bigger guys need bigger kilts, so more material) and the type of material you choose (13oz or 16oz)

  • Come in and see Heather at the shop - we have samples of tartans from Lochcarron, House of Edgar and Strathmore, three of the leading woollen mills in Scotland.

  • Saltire Collection kilts available for purchase - these are ordered in from Scotland on request as per size requirement.

  • Irish Kilts and Welsh Cilts and accessories available.
